John M6, NSW
The Weet-bix TRY DIY event has been the perfect inspiration for John to ‘have a go’ at a TRYathlon. He has loved watching his dad train for his first ever Ironman event and wants to be just like him. When his dad saw this event advertised online he thought it would be a great opportunity for John to TRY a swim, bike and run.
John was super excited to receive his shirt and medal in the mail and proudly placed his medal around his neck when he had completed all 3 legs. John swam 2 laps of a 25m pool and was so proud of this achievement as it’s the furthest he has ever swum. The bike leg was his favourite part and he really enjoyed running too.
When he finished his TRY DIY he said “that was so much fun mum, I’d like to do another one”. John loves being outdoors and staying active, fit and healthy.
This TRY DIY event has been the perfect event for him to participate in and become inspired to be a future TRYathlete! John can’t wait for the opportunity to participate in a live Sanitarium Weet-bix Kids TRYathlon event where he can be cheered on by his family and friends.
